By reducing discharges of these harmful pollutants the receiving waters are protected and can be used for multiple purposes. Pollution discharge budgets are prepared, recipient self preservation capacity is estimated and treatment options are considered. Special databases, survey forms and computing models have been developed for improved mapping of the situation. We assist local authorities in establishing design criteria for new wastewater treatment plants, including TOR (terms of reference) for consultants to use in detailed planning of new plants.
